• Share of GDP on R&D:
EU: 2%
US: 2.8%
Japan: 3.4%
• Our target = 3% in 2020
• Current national targets only 2.7-2.8%
• In net spending, China will spend more than the EU in 2014
• Share of persons aged 25-34 with a university degree:
EU:34%
US: 42%
Japan:55%
