DOE Strategic Plan
● Process :
- Sept 2009: Secretary Chu kicked off strategic planning process, including working groups, offsite meetings, and 2012 budget initiatives.
- July 2010: Under Secretary Kooninbegan building upon work of the Chief Financial Officer.
● Why this plan is different :
- Held 10 focus groups with leadership, senior career staff, laboratory directors, and Federal Advisory Committee Act chairs.
- High-level goals are supported by appropriate strategies andspecific targeted outcomes.
