Austrian Research and Technology Report 2012
Executive Summary
The Research and Technology Report 2012 is a report by the Austrian federal government to parliament on the state and needs of research, technology, and innovation in Austria. Current data, findings, and assessments are used to identify key trends in the Austrian system of innovation and draw international comparisons in selected areas.
This report was commissioned by the Federal Ministry of Science and Research (BMWF); the
Federal Ministry for Transport, Innovation, and Technology (BMVIT); and the Federal Ministry of Economy, Family, and Youth (BMWFJ). All input was discussed and agreed upon in inter-ministerial workgroups in which all offices were involved.
