● Our continuing analysis of the worldwide POC diagnostics marketplace describes the various disease classes into which POC testing currently impacts
● Infectious Disease Testing and Cardiovascular Disease are the top disease classes impacted currently by POC testing
● Cancer has not made a significant impact into the POC testing space as oncology is not a “POC disease.”  However, there are data suggesting the increasing impact of POC testing in cancer and these data are presented in this report
● Importantly, other than a few well-known cardiovascular biomarkers, most of the cancer biomarkers have not yet been platformized onto POC platforms and we believe that this represents a potential market opportunity.  We further believe that the drive towards precision medicine and the economic restraints will drive cancer testing into the POC realm.  Furthermore, the deployment of minimally-invasive tests based on liquid/biofluid biopsies will further drive cancer testing into the POC arena
