1. On 17 May 2010, the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD),
the Human Genome Organisation (HUGO), the McLaughlin-Rotman Centre for Global Health of the University of Toronto and the Mexican Health Foundation (FUNSALUD) jointly organised a one-day symposium in Montpellier, France entitled “Genomics and the Bioeconomy.” Financial support from the Government of Japan also helped to facilitate the Symposium, which took place in conjunction with HUGO’s annual meeting.
