Description of the Event :

Join SBS for an exciting two-day symposium, featuring top-tier presentations, an Exhibit Hall and Networking Reception. This meeting will provide an overview of the use of both primary cells and stem cells in high-throughput screening and the drug-discovery process. Presentation topics will include: the influence of cell phenotype on pharmacology; practicalities of using primary and stem cells for high-throughput screening; comparing primary cells and engineered cells as tools for ADMET; the use of stem cells for target validation; and reconstituted multi-cellular in vitro systems.
Who should attend?
• Managers of HTS & target validation groups
• Assay development scientists
• Academics associated with screening centers
• Anyone interested in the use of primary and stem cells
for validation and screening (especially suppliers and service providers)

Everybody wins with SBS
Attendees gain up-to-date knowledge on the use of primary and stem cells screening. Participants can continue the dialogue and make connections during meal breaks and at the Networking Reception.

Exhibitors have the opportunity to gain new customers from diverse markets while also providing long-standing customers the chance to reconnect.

Sponsors benefit from high-level visibility in a growing customer base.

Special focus will center on a networking reception and meal functions planned to encourage strategy sharing and solution exploring in a smaller, more personal setting. The usual high-trafficked area of scientific posters will share novel approaches to industry challenges. And an SBS event would not be complete without an exciting exhibit hall (limited to only 30 life science innovators).

Poster presentations are limited to only 20 on a first-come, first-served basis. One poster is allowed per registered attendee or exhibiting company, based on availability. Reserve a poster stand when you register online. Posters will be displayed throughout the meeting rooms and registration area, and attendees can view them during breaks and during exhibition hours. (NOTE: to have title and author listed in the final program, you must register before September 17, 2007 at noon, EST and reserve a place for your poster.
