FEMS 2009 - 3rd Congress of European Microbiologists
Welcome
In continuation with the previous FEMS Congresses of European Microbiologists the theme "Microbes and Man - interdependence and future challenges” is designed to provide a forum for interdisciplinary dialogue between the various microbiological specialities as well as providing topical coverage of key disciplines.
In continuation with the previous FEMS Congresses of European Microbiologists the theme "Microbes and Man - interdependence and future challenges” is designed to provide a forum for interdisciplinary dialogue between the various microbiological specialities as well as providing topical coverage of key disciplines.
Thanks to progress made over recent years, our insight into the world of microbes has deepened enormously. At the same time we realize more fully that future global challenges cannot be met without a profound understanding of our interdependence with microbes. This microbiology congress will provide a forum for European and other international colleagues to appreciate the current state of the art of microbiology and to discuss how our science can contribute to finding solutions to the challenges we face in the future. To this end, we are inviting the most prominent scientists in their field to join us at the FEMS 2009 Microbiology Congress.
