Application Deadline
 
Applications for this meeting must be submitted by July 31, 2010. Please apply early, as some meetings become oversubscribed (full) before this deadline. If the meeting is oversubscribed, it will be stated here. Applications will still be accepted for oversubscribed meetings. However, they will only be considered by the Conference Chair if more seats become available due to cancellations.

The Aging, Biology Of Gordon-Kenan Research Seminar will be held in conjunction with the Aging, Biology Of Gordon Research Conference. Those interested in attending both meetings must submit an application for the GRC in addition to an application for the GKRS. Meeting Overview

 

The Gordon-Kenan Research Seminar on Aging, Biology Of is a unique forum for graduate students, post-docs, and other scientists with comparable levels of experience and education to present and exchange new data and cutting edge ideas.

The focus of this meeting will be to congregate an outstanding and diverse group of young investigators (graduate students and postdoctoral fellows) at the forefront of aging research. Through an informal ‘Beyond the Ph.D.’ session, this GKRS will also provide young researchers with valuable career advice from senior experts in this field.

Application Instructions

The meeting will feature approximately 10 talks and 2 poster sessions. All attendees are expected to actively participate in the GRS either by giving an oral presentation or presenting a poster. Therefore, all applications must include an abstract.

The Chairs will select speakers from abstracts submitted by April 21, 2010. Those applicants who are not chosen for talks and those who apply after the deadline to be considered for an oral presentation will be expected to present a poster. In order to participate, you must submit an application by July 31, 2010.

- Check-in begins: 1:30 pm - Sunday breakfast: 7:30 am - 8:30 am
- First science session: 2:30 pm - 3:30 pm - Science session: 9:00 am - 12:30 pm
- Poster session I: 3:30 pm - 5:30 pm - Sunday lunch: 12:30 pm - 1:30 pm
- Evening science session: 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm - Poster session II: 1:30 pm - 3:30 pm
- Dinner: 8:00 pm - Official GRS program ends: 3:30 pm
- Poster session continues after dinner - Program for related GRC begins: 6:00 pm
Preliminary Program
