Application Deadline
Applications for this meeting must be submitted by June 19, 2010. Please apply early, as some meetings become oversubscribed (full) before this deadline. If the meeting is oversubscribed, it will be stated here. Applications will still be accepted for oversubscribed meetings. However, they will only be considered by the Conference Chair if more seats become available due to cancellations.

The Industrial Ecology Gordon-Kenan Research Seminar will be held in conjunction with the Industrial Ecology Gordon Research Conference. Those interested in attending both meetings must submit an application for the GRC in addition to an application for the GKRS. Meeting Overview

The Gordon-Kenan Research Seminar on Industrial Ecology is a unique forum for graduate students, post-docs, and other scientists with comparable levels of experience and education to present and exchange new data and cutting edge ideas.

The focus of this meeting is on industrial ecology tools and methodologies - consequential LCA, uncertainty analysis (LCA), material flow analysis (MFA), economic models, and novel metrics for measuring sustainable system, inter alia; their practical applications and limitations. Even though priority will be given to proposals for oral and poster presentations that focus on the theme of tools and methodologies, we, in fact, would welcome and consider abstracts on a diverse range of topics within the realm of industrial ecology.

Application Instructions

The meeting will feature approximately 10 talks and 2 poster sessions. All attendees are expected to actively participate in the GRS either by giving an oral presentation or presenting a poster. Therefore, all applications must include an abstract.

The Chairs will select speakers from abstracts submitted by March 10, 2010. Those applicants who are not chosen for talks and those who apply after the deadline to be considered for an oral presentation will be expected to present a poster. In order to participate, you must submit an application by June 19, 2010.

Saturday Sunday
- Check-in begins: 2:00 pm - Sunday breakfast: 7:30 am - 8:30 am
- First science session: 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm - Science session: 9:00 am - 12:30 pm
- Poster session I: 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm - Sunday lunch: 12:30 pm - 1:30 pm
- Dinner: 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm - Poster session II: 1:30 pm - 3:30 pm
- Evening science session: 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm - Official GRS program ends: 3:30 pm
- Poster session continues after evening session - Program for related GRC begins: 6:00 pm
