Application Deadline
Applications for this meeting must be ted by July 11, 2015. Please apply early, as some meetings become oversubscribed (full) before this deadline. If the meeting is oversubscribed, it will be stated here. Note: Applications for oversubscribed meetings will only be considered by the Conference Chair if more seats become available due to cancellations.
GRS Speaker Abstract Deadline: Although applications will be accepted until the date noted above, any applicants who wish to be considered for an oral presentation should their application by May 8, 2015. Please refer to the application instructions in the Meeting Deion section below for more details (if available).
Meeting Deion
Overview
The Gordon Research Seminar on Cellular & Molecular Mechanisms of Toxicity is a unique forum for graduate students, post-docs, and other scientists with comparable levels of experience and education to present and ex new data and cutting edge ideas.
The of this meeting is to provide young scientists with an inviting forum for the ex and discussion of primarily new/unpublished data on mechanistic toxicology. The GRS will highlight recent advancements in the development of complex in vitro models, and their utility in safety assessment and understanding mechanisms of toxicity. The GRS will include a career development session with panelists from industry, government, and academia in order to provide attendees with information regarding CV construction, details of writing an effective cover letter, and an overview of the interview process for each job sector.
Attendees are expected to fully participate in the GRS and present original research, thus all applications must include an abstract. Young scientists are invited to present research on all areas of mechanistic toxicology including investigations utilizing in vitro and in vivo systems, translational studies, computational toxicology, and more. The GRS will include approximately 8 graduate student/postdoc platform presentations, which the Chairs will from the abstracts. All attendees are expected to present their original research by presenting a poster. In order to participate, you must an application by the date indicated in the Application Deadline section above. All applicants are strongly encouraged to an application for the associated Gordon Research Conference occurring August 9-14, 2015.
Application Instructions
The meeting will feature approximately 10 talks and 2 poster sessions. All attendees are expected to actively participate in the GRS either by giving an oral presentation or presenting a poster. Therefore, all applications must include an abstract.
The Chairs will speakers from abstracts ted by May 8, 2015. Those applicants who are not chosen for talks and those who apply after the deadline to be considered for an oral presentation will be expected to present a poster. In order to participate, you must an application by the date indicated in the Application Deadline section above.
