Dr. Ben Davies
Trangenic Core Head, Group Head/PI
University of Oxford

Dr. Ben Davies received his PhD in molecular biology from the University of Edinburgh where he first encountered mouse microinjection techniques at the Centre for Genome Research. After a postdoc at the Charite Hospital Berlin, he moved into commercial biotech working as scientific director for a -up transgenic service company, based at the University Hospital Hamburg, Eppendorf which was then merged with the French Biotech company, genOway. After 4 years in this role, he moved to Oxford where he runs the transgenic core research group at the Wellcome Trust Centre for Human Genetics at the University of Oxford, a position he has held for the last 8 years.

Dr. Rudolf Walczak
Global Product Manager, Cell and Liquid Handling
Eppendorf AG
Dr. Rudolf Walczak's role is the Global Product Manager for the areas of cell handling and liquid handling at Eppendorf AG. He studied biochemistry at the University of Tubingen and at the Rockefeller University in New York. Rudolf's PhD work at EMBL Heidelberg was to investigate the mechanisms of post-mitotic nuclear pore complex formation using protein biochemistry, molecular biology and cell biology methods. Prior to joining Eppendorf he worked as a consultant for BCG ing on projects in the Health Care industry.
