■ 19:30-20:00 [주제발표2]   Advanced challenges and opportunities for the systemic humanized animal model in the present and near future  | C&SR 최미영 대표

[발표개요]

Immunocompetent animal models are used for human-disease applications but remain limited following human-specific immunological mechanisms. However, this limitation can be partly overcome by using humanized mouse. Generally, humanized models are created with the engraftment of human cells, genes, or tissues into an immunodeficient animal and could be able to study engrafted functional human cells. C&SR Inc. could be able to provide and generate humanized model platform in the form of use either human peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMC) for short-term rapid studies or hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs) engrafted for long-term studies.   Up to now, C&SR Inc. has secured and accumulated several quantitative preclinical data to better understand and find the answer underlying preclinical humanized models for the study of human-specific diseases such as cancer, immunological disorders, stem cell function and human-specific infectious agents without putting patients at risk. More than 80~95% of cells were positive for human CD45, and all hematopoietic cells were observed in human leukocyte common antigens in C&SR’s animal platform. Those models can analyze the development of the human immune system, including functional T cells, B cells, and even the smallest amount of T cells sub-unit, following human-engrafted HSCs and PBMCs. Ultimately, using humanized model can be led to the implementation of certainly personalized medicine for the clinic.   

We provides expertise in research and development necessary for navigating a drug candidate through humanized animal model making/testing with our competitive skills. Particularly, C&SR Inc. secure the competitive edge in mouse-humanization skills with the point of three core techniques; best protocol on its own, non-loss advanced SOP, and got ready for a preclinical foundation with a humanized mouse model. 

Ultimately, the use of humanized mice may lead to the implementation of truly “personalized” as well as “treat for all” medicine in the clinic. Hopefully, C&SR’s R&D service will provide an effective platform in the medical care industry with humanized model approaches, and we will support and effort you to be linked the right choice for your real scientific studies.
