Together, with Proficiency and Skills

 

In Finland, we have recognized the benefits of the culture and the habit of doing things collectively. We want to rid ourselves of small, separate ICT projects as they disintegrate both effectiveness and results.

The motto of the Finnish ICT- shock could well be “Together on a grand scale, with proficiency and skills”. We want to create a concentration of top-level knowledge centre in the field of the ICT business.

The Aalto University is another indication of the desire for co-operation. The cross-scientific approach it will adopt presents Finland with a magnificent source of innovation. In the future, Finland will also succeed brilliantly in the field of ICT as we have, exactly at the right moment, discovered new and exceptional tools for development and research.

In today’s information society, the decisive factors will be the skills and the know-how of individuals, and their motivation to utilize public and private electronic services. How can we ascertain that every citizen will have the opportunity, the knowledge, and the motivation to build the new services collectively together with the public sector – to spread the excitement all over the industry? In the future, no one can be alone, as we need each other in all our endeavours.

Our brain is not enough. An individual is not able manage alone. We need networking with other projects, and we have the necessary tools at our disposal within the web and the social media.

We face challenges in management. We do not manage people’s hands only any more. We manage the individual’s brain and thought. This new method of management will increasingly take place in the shape of coaching in expert organizations and groups.
