climate Act ion Goal: Reduce San Francisco’s contribution to global climate change to 10 percent below 1990 levels by 2012.
Clean Transport ation Goal: Reduce CO2 emissions from transportation by 963,000 tons annually.
RENE WABLE ENE RGY & Energy EFFiciency Goals: Reduce 400,000 tons of CO2 annually through energy efficiency and to displace 3,000 tons of CO2 annually through development of renewable energy resources by 2009.
Zero Waste Goal: Achieve 75 percent landfil diversion by 2010 and zero waste by 2020.
Urb an For est Goal: Plant and maintain 25,000 new trees in San Francisco by 2012, offsetting
2,500,000 pounds of CO2 annually.
Green Building Goal: Ensure that all new commercial and residential buildings in San Francisco eventually meet LEED Gold Standard.
