Strategic Priorities for Petrochemicals Technology Program
The National Policy for Science and Technology, approved by the Council of Ministers in 1423 H (2002 G), defined 11 programs for localization and development of strategic technologies that are essential for the Kingdom’s future development. This roadmap is the plan for one of
these programs, the Petrochemicals Technology Program. The program is designed to promote the development of petrochemical technologies in support of economic, social, and other critical national needs in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Particular emphasis is placed on the development of local capacity supported by strategic technology adoption.
