ABSTRACT
Expectations for medical devices are increasing nationwide in Japan, however, there are some challenges to overcome in order to promote the development and practical application of medical devices. In this study, we ed on the shortage of human resources in biomedical engineering, conducted a comparative survey on undergraduate and graduate education in Japanese and US universities, and proposed some future measures for human resources development in Japan.
