개요
2007년 12월 7일 태안 앞바다에 사상 최악의 유조선 원유 유출사고가 발생하였다. 1995년 씨프린스호 사고 피해액인 725억 원보다 경제적 피해규모가 훨씬 더 클 것으로 전망하고 있으며 환경오염에 따른 생태계 파괴 또한 심각한 문제이다. 이러한 상황에서 해상에 유출된 원유의 효과적인 제거 혹은 처리기술은 절실한 현실로 다가오고 있다. 본 보고서에서는 환경 생명공학 중에서도 환경에 노출된 오염물질을 친환경적으로 제거할 수 있는 생물정화(bioremediation)를 중심으로 기술동향보고서를 작성하고자 한다.
