International comparison of life expectancy at birth, 2016
[정의] 기대수명 : 출생자가 출생 직후부터 생존할 것으로 기대되는 평균 생존년수
세계보건기구(Word Health Organization, WHO)의 발표에 따르면, 2016년 전 세계 인구의 평균 기대수명은 72.0년임. 우리나라는 82.7년으로 일본(84.2년)에 이어 동아시아에서 두 번째로 높은 수준임(그림 A).
According to the reports of WHO (Word Health Organization), average life expectancy of the global population was 72.0 years in 2016. South Korea had the second highest life expectancy of 82.7 years in East Asia, preceded by Japan with 84.2 years (Figure A).
