◆ Preliminary Estimates of Job Creation
Creation of new jobs is an important benefit of California’s clean energy policies. This preliminary estimate suggests that about 483,000 to 771,000 jobs-years will be created over the next decade through investments in demand-side energy programs, renewable electricity generation projects, and transmission infrastructure projects as summarized in Table 1.1 Jobs are expressed in terms of job-years or a full-time job that lasts one calendar year.
